Cobra XRS-9970G Radar Detector

The Cobra XRS 9970G provides total protection and peace of mind with Super-Xtreme Range Superheterodyne Technology, detecting all 15 radar/laser bands with its super-fast lock-on detection circuitry. The unit provides extra detection range and the best possible advance warning to even the fastest of POP mode radar guns. Other features include Cobra exclusive full-color ExtremeBright DataGrafix II Display, an 8-point electronic compass, Voice Alerts, car battery voltage display/low car battery warning and much more.

The Cobra XRS-9970G uses cobra's latest touch screen technology. The Cobra XRS-9970G it is also bundled with a Lifetime Subscription to the AURA Database for Verified Speed and Red Light Camera locations for the entire United States and Canada.

System Ready Prompt - Notifies the user that the radar detector has correctly completed a self-test and is ready.
Spectre I Undetectable - Provides complete immunity to Spectre I radar detector-detectors.
Car Battery Voltage Display/Low Car Battery Warning - Provides approximate voltage of your car's battery and also alerts user whenever car battery voltage falls below 11.9 volts.
IntelliView - Picture-in-picture shows radar/laser alerts simultaneously with GPS locator based alerts.
15-Band Detection - Detects 7 radar, 6 laser and 2 safety signals. Radar signals include X Band, K Band, Ka Superwide, Ku Band, VG-2, Spectre I and Spectre IV+. Laser signals include LTI 20-20, Ultra Lyte, ProLaser, ProLaser III, Stalker LIDAR and Speedlaser. Safety signals include Safety Alert® and Strobe Alert®.

	a lot for the money
	Perfect for areas with lots of red light and speed cams. Aura database is excellent, free and easy to update. I replaced a Bell RX65. RX65 has slightly better K band range than the 9970G but I can not see a difference in Ka range. What I gave up in K band range, which was minimal, I gain a huge amount with the speed and red camera capability of the 9970G. 9970G has a great touchscreen display. Service from bestradardetectors was excellent. VERY fast shipping too.

	Cobra XRS-9970G Radar Detector
	This would have to be the BEST radar detector I have ever had! I just returned from a trip and it saved me lots of money. Known speed traps were broadcast by the detector and the alerts were so accurate. This radar detector is value for money! Oh, did I mention I had to remove the detector as we crossed into the Virginia border. It's against the law to have one there. Really? Go figure! LOL!

	Cobra XRS 9970G
	Recieved mine a few days ago. Have not had time to test it extensively. However, took a trip around my neighborhood, and was amazed at how sensitive this unit is. Immediately showed traffic light cameras, and also which intersections are danger zones. I think I will get hooked on this baby!

	Great product
	Great product. Sensitivity is similar to Bel V955 I've owned, but false filtering is better IMO, and add the GPS/Red Light functionality. Most negative reviews I've read are from those who obviously haven't read the user's manual. "City" modes delay/eliminate AUDIBLE alerts but retain full sensitivity! Sweet! Plenty of "bang for the buck."
