Uniden Smart Hardwire Kit w/Mute button

4.5 Star Rating, which isn't an option here. It worked well as the reviews indicate. The only weakness I noted was the white colored fuse holder it comes with. The plastic material it is made from is very fragile, so one jolt or brush with a shoe under the dash could crack the fuse holder. I replaced the cartridge fuse holder by splicing in a more durable, blade type, I purchased from AutoZone. A simple $3 fix or less if you shop around.

This was very easy to install, I used an “add a circuit fuse tap adapter” and would highly recommend this Uniden Smart Hardwire w/mute Kit because it frees up a socket in your vehicle and hides your wire’s.

Great service and a good product. Everything on the service side was wonderful. would do business with these guys again in a heartbeat. The product works great as advertised. Only very minor downfall is the Velcro they give you to mount it. simply didn't hold. But double sided gorilla tape does.

The unit was as expected. Simple enough to wire into the car (after the panels were off the car). Unit works well. I ended up screwing a bracket in under the dash as the double sided tape would not stick to the plastic (no big deal) ...

I have been using this mute button kit for a while I got it so I could Hard Wire my Uniden RD3 detector and they were the only ones that had it in stock it makes it very easy to mute false alerts and add them to the mute memory there's even a way to adjust the brightness of the detector which I have not really had the chance to try out yet. I Highly recommend it for Unidens RD3
